A Deputy Manager role in a supported accommodation service for 16 to 18 year olds preparing for independence.

About the role

This service supports young people aged 16 to 18 as they move towards independent living. As Deputy Manager you will support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations, staff supervision and quality assurance, while remaining close to the young people and their pathway plans.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and support a team of support workers and night staff.

Oversee pathway plans, key working and independence programmes.

Maintain records, audits and compliance in line with the national supported accommodation standards.

Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence.

Essential requirements

Experience in supported accommodation or residential childcare, including supervisory responsibility.

Sound understanding of safeguarding and the transition to independence.

Level 3 qualification in residential childcare, health and social care or equivalent.

Desirable requirements

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, or working towards it.

Experience of Ofsted registration or inspection processes.
